Early Interventionist | Special Needs Educator
I'm an early interventionist and special needs educator with eight years of experience supporting children with diverse learning needs. I began my career in Singapore in 2017, working across home, school, and community settings. I’m now based in Southern California and teaching online, supporting students from around the world.
My free resource library and structured classes are designed to make learning accessible, meaningful, and enjoyable for every child, no matter where they are.
I've had the privilege of supporting children ages 3-18 with a range of needs, including autism, global developmental delay (GDD), down syndrome, ADHD, speech and language delays, and behavioral challenges.
My approach brings together:
Structured teaching
Individualized lesson planning
Positive behavior support
Child-centered, strengths-based learning
is grounded in the belief that every child learns best when instruction is purposeful and engaging.
My approach helps me to scaffold learning, provide structure and embed meaningful repetition while keeping lessons enjoyable and developmentally appropriate.
I believe strongly in practice and repetition with a purpose: repeating skills long enough to build mastery, but also knowing when a child is ready to take the next step toward independence. My role is to guide, support, and gradually release responsibility as each child gains confidence in their abilities.
A significant part of my work involves collaboration with parents and caregivers. Learning continues at home, through simple routines, and accessible strategies. When a child’s environment invites learning, they begin to invite learning into their own lives.
My goal is for every child I work with to feel supported, capable, and joyful in their learning journey.
The most meaningful part of my work is the trust and partnership I build with families and my colleagues. Here are some recorded progress works and kind words shared by parents and educators I’ve had the privilege to work with.
Starting with one-on-one sessions and later transitioning to working with both children together in June, she consistently adapted to their individual needs and learning styles. What stood out most was not just her commitment to the twins' development, but her genuine concern for our overall well-being as a family.
Her approach is gentle, sometimes firm, and always grounded in consistent encouragement. She made sure I was always kept in the loop—regularly sharing thoughtful updates, photos, and videos of their progress so I never felt like I was missing a moment.
We are truly grateful for Teacher Zenic's support and the meaningful difference she’s made in our lives.
Home-Based Early Intervention
Zenic is dedicated to helping each child reach their potential. She consistently goes above and beyond to make every session meaningful, tailoring her approach to meet each child’s individual needs and IEP goals. A notable example of her commitment is how she regularly brought her students to the staff room as part of a targeted social skills programme. These sessions provided real-life opportunities for her students to initiate and respond to interactions with familiar adults. Today, many of these children confidently engage with others and navigate transitions between environments with far greater ease.
Equally commendable is her work with caregivers. Zenic strongly believes in empowering families and is diligent in ensuring they are equipped to continue intervention strategies at home. She takes the time to support them with hands-on practice, offers constructive feedback, and builds their confidence through consistent and compassionate follow-up.
